Cochise College is a two-year college in southeast Arizona where students can prepare for immediate employment or transfer to a bachelor’s degree program. Day and evening programs in English as a Second Language are available, with an intensive program offered during the summer. In addition, technical certificates and associate’s degrees include aviation, business, computers, education, English, math, nursing and others. The College was established in 1961 and serves about 14,000 students annually at five locations in Cochise County (Benson, Douglas, Fort Huachuca, Sierra Vista and Willcox) and in Santa Cruz County, as well as online. Campus housing is available on the Douglas Campus, which is located in a unique crossroads of cultural, natural and historical attractions. Sites of interest include Kartchner Caverns, Bisbee, Tombstone, Chiricahua National Monument, Cochise Stronghold, and the Amerind Foundation. We also have ideal weather for flying and athletic competition. College athletes compete in men’s and women’s basketball and rodeo, baseball, and women’s soccer. We Have a Great ESL Program!The ESL program integrates speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar in four levels, including a bridge semester for advanced students who wish to continue in university-level studies. The evening program emphasizes English communication for professional purposes. An intensive English Immersion program is offered in the summer.The ESL program also offers social and cultural activities and trips to sights of interest. Border Commuter Student AdmissionMexican citizens can attend Cochise College full-time or part-time as border commuters. They must be seeking a degree, live along the U.S.-Mexico border, and have an F-1 student visa. Border commuters also must submit the appropriate forms and fees, as listed below.International Student AdmissionAll international students must attend Cochise College full time, have a high school equivalency or be at least 18 years of age at the time of registration. They also need to attend on an F-1 visa.International students must apply for one of two areas of study:

Arizona-Sonora AgreementTuition waivers are available to students from Sonora through an agreement between the Arizona-Mexico Commission and the Comisión Sonora-Arizona. Qualifying students from Sonora who are studying in Arizona may pay in-state tuition for a maximum of two years. Students from Arizona who wish to study in Sonora have a series of educational and living options available.
