Bemidji State University is located in the spectacular lake country of north central Minnesota, fewer than 220 miles from Minneapolis. Current enrollment of approximately 5,000 includes students from 44 states and 40 countries, all of whom benefit from the vast resources of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System. The university sits adjacent to the city of Bemidji, which is recognized as the first city on the Mississippi River and one of the 100 best small cities in America. The city of Bemidji is also the financial, cultural, and social hub of north central Minnesota. With more than 65 majors and pre-professional programs, an active Outdoor Program Center providing numerous activities and trips per year, and a variety of study abroad opportunities, Bemidji State is a comprehensive university. Location

The University is situated on the shoreline of Lake Bemidji, which is the first major body of water on the Mississippi River. It's location in northern Minnesota presents the full-range of seasons, from autumn through summer. The City
